Black forest pudding is a pudding cake with dense rich appealing and awesome taste!!! It is a great party dessert idea. Quickly bake your chocolate cake and top it with yummy pudding!
Ingredients For The Cake:
- Flour-1 cup
- Cocoa powder- 1/2 cup
- Baking powder- 3/4 tsp
- Butter melted-1 cup
- Powdered Sugar- 3/4 cup
- Egg-6 nos
- Vanilla essence-1 tsp
- Sieve flour, cocoa powder and baking powder together.
- Beat eggs in a bowl until it becomes fluffy.
- Add sugar, melted butter and vanilla essence one by one.
- Mix it with the sieved flour mixture with a spoon.
- Pour it in to a greased cake pan and microwave it for 40 minutes (180 c) in a pre-heated oven.
- Allow to cool the cake completely before topping.
Ingredients For The Pudding Layer:
- Milk-500 ml
- Condensed milk- 1/2 tin
- Thick Cream-150 ml
- Gelatin-2 tbsp
- Vanilla essence- 1/ tsp
Preparation:
- Mix gelatin with 4 tbsp s of water and double boil it until completely melts
- Boil milk in a sauce pan, when it boils, switch off the flame.
- Add melted gelatin, condensed milk , vanilla essence and thick cream.
- Mix well without any lumps.
Other Ingredients For Garnishing:
- Sugar syrup-1 cup
- Chopped nuts
- Chocolate curls
- Beaten whip cream (or thick cream mixed with sweetened condensed milk)
- Cherry pulp / jam
- Cherries
- Line up a pudding tray with prepared chocolate cake (keep little crumbled pieces for garnishing on op).
- Make little pits on the cake using a fork.
- Now spread the sugar syrup evenly above it.
- Rest for 15 minutes to absorb all the syrup by the cake.
- Add little cherry pulp on sides of the the cake to garnish.
- Now evenly pour the warm pudding mixture over the cake.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour to set.
- After that do garnishing on top with with cake crumbs, cream, nuts, cherries and chocolates.
- Keep in fridge for another one hour.
- Cut in to pieces and serve chilled.
