Teriyaki Chicken


Teriyaki chicken is one of the most popular chicken dish in Japanese; and one of the most easiest dish with just a handful of ingredients.
Ingredients:
  1. Chicken boneless pieces- 250 gm
  2. Soy sauce-4 tbsp
  3. Vinegar-1 tsp
  4. Orange juice-3 tbsp
  5. Honey-2tbsp
  6. Olive oil / sesame oil-2 tbsp
  7. Butter-1 tbsp
  8. Salt-lttle to taste
  9. Thinly grated ginger-1 tbsp
  10. Thinly grated green chilly-2 tbsp optional)
  11. Sesame seeds-to garnish
  12. Spring onion chopped-to garnish
Preparation:
  • In a bowl mix orange juice, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger, green chilly, salt.
  • Mix it wth the chicken and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  • Heat a pan with olive oil, add the chicken pieces from the marinade and reserve the excess marinade water for further cooking.
  • Cover the lid of the pan and stir cook chicken pieces for 15-20 minutes (stir occasionally).
  • Switch off the flame.
  • Now heat another pan with butter, when it is hot add sesame seeds and the remainig marinade batter, stir for a minute and switch off the flame.
  • Pour it over the chicken pieces along with chopped spring onions.
  • Serve hot with white rice and boiled veggies!!!
