Tapioca cake is a simple and tasty authentic recipe. Even it is baked it has a texture of steaming cake. Only few ingredients are needed to make this recipe. If banana leaf is used instead of butter paper for baking, it will be nicer flavor.

- Tapioca peeled and grated-500g
- Sugar-1cup
- Coconut grated-2tbsp
- Egg-1
- Vanilla essence- ½ tsp
- Thick coconut milk-200ml
- Evaporated milk or water-70ml
- Preheat the oven in 180 degree.
- Squeeze the grated tapioca and keep the excess liquid.
- Combine all the ingredients (including tapioca starch) well with a hand mixer in a bowl.
- Grease the pan with oil or butter paper.
- Bake for 30 minutes and top grill for another 10 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting.
