Green Apple Pickle

Green apples have both sweet and sour taste. So it is a best fruit for making pickle. This pickle gets easily ready with simple ingredients.

Green Apple Pickle

Ingredients:
  1. Green apple -2 (chopped )
  2. Fenugreek-1/4tsp
  3. Urad dal-1tsp
  4. Mustard-1tsp
  5. Oil-1/4cup
  6. Mustard-1tsp
  7. Curry leaves-3string
  8. Ginger paste-1tsp
  9. Garlic paste-1tsp
  10. Green chilly paste-1tsp
  11. Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
  12. Kashmiri chilli powder-3tsp
  13. Tamarind juice with pulp-1cup
  14. Vinegar-2tbsp (optional)
Preparation:
  • Dry roast fenugreek, urad dal and mustard seeds.
  • Blend well and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan; splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add curry leaves, ginger, garlic and green chilli paste.
  • Sauté till the raw smell goes off.
  • Add turmeric powder, above blended powder and chilli powder.
  • Add tamarind juice in to it.
  • When it starts boiling add salt and apple pieces in to it.
  • If u needs more savory taste add 2tbsp of vinegar; switch off the flame.
  • When it cools down; keep it in an air tight container.
