Kozhi pidi is a complete meal suitable for breakfast or dinner. The rice dumplings cooked along with chicken and coconut milk really yummy and delicious. It is better to have less spicy. No any other side dish is needed along with it. Just take a spoon and finish it.
Ingredients:

- Chicken- ¼ kg
- Onion (very thinly sliced)-1large
- Ginger paste-1tsp
- Garlic paste-1tsp
- Green chilli paste-1tsp
- Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
- Coriander powder-1tsp
- Garam masala powder- ½ tsp
- Salt- to taste
- Thick coconut milk-1cup
- Cumin seeds-to splutter
- Oil-1tbsp
- Curry leaves-1string
- Coriander leaves-few
- Rice flour- ¼ cup
- Water- ¼ cup
- Salt-to taste
- Oil-3drops
- Coconut scraped-1tbsp
- Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
- Shallots chopped thinly-1tsp
- Boil ¼ cup of water with salt and oil.
- Mix it with rice flour, coconut, cumin seeds and shallots.
- Make small dumplings with it; steam cook it for 5 minutes.
- Keep it aside.
- Cook the chicken (with salt, turmeric and little water) in pressure cooker for 3 whistles.
- Remove the bone of chicken and make it small crunch pieces (same size of rice dumplings).
- Keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan; splutter cumin seeds.
- Add onion and curry leaves; sauté well.
- Add ginger and garlic paste.
- Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt as one by one and sauté well.
- Add thick coconut milk and cooked chicken with the chicken stock.
- Boil it for few minutes (5-10) until it starts thicken to reach nice gravy consistency.
- Serve it hot and enjoy your meal…!!!
