Basbousa is a traditional Arabic sweet. The sugar syrup is drizzled on top of the cake; that makes the cake tastes soft and yummy. It can be make on stove top also.
Heat on medium flame until it boils.
Reduce the heat and simmer for about 20-25minutes until it becomes syrup consistency.
When the cake is done; pour the hot syrup slowly on top of it (when it cool down; it becomes thick); So that it reaches all part of cake.
Serve after cool the cake completely.
Decorate cake with almond on top (Put it in the time of baking on the top of each slices; so that it fits correctly).

Ingredients:
- Semolina-2cup
- Sugar – ½ cup
- Yoghurt- ¾ cup
- Butter melted- ½ cup
- Ghee-1 ½ tbsp.
- Baking powder-1 ½ tsp.
- Almond-to decorate
- Preheat the oven in 180 degree
- In a bowl mix all the ingredients well.
- Pour it in to butter greased baking tray.
- Using a butter greased knife make squares on it.
- Rest it for 30minutes.
- Put it in the oven and bake until it turns to golden brown color on top.
- While it is baking make the sugar syrup.

- Water-1cup
- Lemon juice-2tsp
- Rose water-1tbsp
