Ney Pathiri / Ney Pathal
 Ingredients:
  1. Rice flour / puttu podi-2cups
  2. Water-2cups
  3. Coconut grated-1cup
  4. Fennel seeds-1tsp
  5. Black cumin seeds-1tbsp
  6. Shallots-4nos
  7. Salt-to taste
Preparation:
  • Boil water with salt.
  • Add rice flour, black cumin in to it and turn off the stove.
  • Add grated coconut, shallots, fennel seed and salt in to it.
  • Knead a smooth dough.
  • Make small lemon sized balls and flatten it in to a thick round (using a press or fingers).
  • Heat oil in a pan; carefully put the pathiri in to it.
  • Deep fry on both sides until cooked (just started to get a golden color).
  • Serve it with your favorite curry.
