Every vegetable will become our favorite when we are making something special with it. The spicy dumplings with the thick, creamy gravy is really delicious.
For the gravy:

For kofta:
- Lauki / bottle gourd (grated) _1cup
- Besan flour-2tbsp.
- Chilly powder-1tsp
- Salt- to taste
- Garam masala-1/4tsp
- Coriander leaves chopped -1tbsp
- Oil-for deep frying
- Mix everything together except oil.
- Make small lemon sized balls with it.
- Deep fry in a low flame ( On high flame; the inner part of kofta will not be cooked).
- Fry till brown in color; drain in to a paper towel.
For the gravy:
Ingredients:
- Grated coconut-1 ½ tsp.
- Cashew nut-7nos
- Onion-1
- Ginger, garlic, green chilly paste – 1tbsp
- Turmeric powder- ½ tsp.
- Chilly powder-1tsp
- Coriander powder-1tsp
- Garam masala- ½ tsp.
- Cumin powder- ½ tsp.
- Salt-to taste
- Yoghurt-2tbsp
- Coriander leaves-few
- Mustard-to splutter
- Cumin seeds-to splutter
- Red chilly-2nos
- Oil-2tbsp
- In a pan, dry roast coconut and cashew nut.
- Make a fine paste with it; keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan; splutter mustard seeds.
- Add cumin seeds and red chilly.
- Add onion and sauté well
- Add ginger, garlic, green chilly paste.
- Add all the powders; stir well.
- Add 1cup of water; when it starts boiling add the coconut paste in to it.
- Cover the lid and slow cook for 15 minutes.
- Add beaten yoghurt, coriander leaves in to it.
- After 5 minutes of boiling; add koftas in to it.
- Serve hot with roti.
