Oat Bars

 
Oat bars is a perfect healthy satisfying snack. It has a crispy texture and cake texture also.  As it is made with oats, wheat, honey and nuts; great for energy boost!!! If you want to skip the sugar, compromise it with honey. Also for the chocolate syrup; replace it with apple sauce.


Ingredients:
  1. Oats-1 ¼ cup
  2. Wheat flour- ½ cup
  3. Baking powder-1tsp
  4. Egg-1nos
  5. Milk- ¾ cup
  6. Honey-3tbsp
  7. Sugar crushed- ½ cup
  8. Vanilla extract- 3drops
  9. Chocolate syrup-2tbsp
  10. Dry fruits and nuts-1cup(cashew nut, walnut, pistachio and raisins)
   Preparation:
  • Beat egg and milk with a hand mixer.
  • Add honey, vanilla extract, crushed sugar and chocolate syrup one by one after each addition.
  • Combine first 3 ingredients and mix it in to the above mixture.
  • Add dry fruits and nuts in to it; mix well.
  • Pour it in to a butter greased baking tray.
  • Bake it in a 350 degree preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.
  • When it cool down; cut in to bars.
  • Keep it in an air tight container for long days.
