Falafel |
Ingredients:
- Chick peas-1 cup
- Parsley leaves chopped-2tbps
- Cilantro chopped-2tbs
- Onion-1small
- Garlic cloves-2
- Cumin-1tsp
- Pepper powder- 1tsp
- Salt-to taste
- All purpose flour-4tsp
- Baking powder- ½ tsp
- Oil-for frying
- Soak the chick peas in water for overnight.
- Put the drained chickpeas and all other ingredients except flour, baking powder and oil in a blender.
- Blend well without adding water. (If necessary add 1 or 2 tbsp of water)
- Mix it with flour and baking powder sifted together.
- Mix the dough in to right consistency and keep refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Make small patties or balls with it and fry it in hot oil till both sides are golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels. Serve it with thahini sauce or hammus.
