Garlic Chicken Roast Recipe

Garlic chicken is a quick and easy chicken recipe which had a unique taste of garlic. The rich aroma of roasted garlic is really nice and everyone loves it. If you need to reduce the spice, reduce the amount of chilly powder and coriander powder according to your taste.  Ingredients:

  1. Chicken-1kg
  2. Garlic-2pods full
  3. Onion-2 big
  4. Tomato-1big
  5. Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
  6. Kashmiri Chilly powder-1tsp
  7. Cumin powder-1tsp
  8. Coriander powder-2tsp
  9. Garam masala- ¾ tsp
  10. Salt- to taste
  11. Curry leaves-1string
  12. Oil-2tbsp
Preparation:
  • In a large pan; heat oil, sauté  crushed garlic well until the raw smell goes off.
  • Add curry leaves and onion; sauté for a minute.
  • Add turmeric powder, sauté for a minute.
  • Add all the other powders one by one; by mixing well in simmer mode (do not burn).
  • Add tomato in to it and sauté until it becomes mashy.
  • Add the chicken pieces and cover it well with all other masala.
  • Cover the lid and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Open the lid and if you need to add water, do add little boiled water.
  • Cover and cook for another 15 minutes or until the chicken pieces are nicely cooked.
  • Serve it hot with roti or rice.
