Tea cakes are soul food with richness and wonderful tasting. It is a classic cake to have with your after noon tea. The cake tastes better after one or two days old. You can change the flavors by adding your favorite spice mix along with flour.
Ingredients:
Carefully add 4tbsp of hot water in to it and suddenly switch off the flame.

- All purpose flour/ maida-1cup
- Egg-2
- Baking powder-3/4 tsp
- Oil-1/2 cup
- Vanilla essence-1/2tsp
- Powdered Sugar -3/4 cup
- Caramel syrup-1/4cup
- Tutti frutti-1/2 cup
- Raisins-1tbsp
- Cashew nut chopped-5nos
- Maida-1tsp
- Mix all these with 1tsp of maida and sieve the excess maida.
- Sift flour and baking powder together twice.
- Beat eggs in high speed till fluffy.
- Add crushed sugar in to it.
- Add vanilla essence and oil slowly.
- Add caramel syrup in to it and mix well.
- Fold the flour in to the batter with a metal spoon.
- Add 3/4 the part of tutti frutti mix in to it and give a mix.
- Pour the batter in to the greased cake tin(with oil and flour).
- Spread the remaining tutti frutti mix above the cake mix.
- Bake it in a preheated oven for 40-45 minutes at 180c.
