Aloo Paratha Recipe

Aloo Paratha is one of the most popular South Indian recipes. We all love it, if there is something inside the plain paratha. No more curry is needed to serve it. You can just serve it with some raitha and pickle.


Ingredients:
For the dough
  1. Wheat flour-2cup
  2. Water
  3. Salt
For filling:
  1. Potato-2nos
  2. Cumin seeds- ¼ tsp
  3. Green chilly chopped-1tsp
  4. Coriander leaves chopped-2tsp
  5. Garam masala-a pinch
  6. Salt-to taste
Preparation: 
  1. combine wheat flour with salt n water and make a smooth dough.
  2. Let it be rest until the filling becomes ready.
  3. Boil the potatoes until it becomes nicely tender.
  4. Peel them and mash very well without forming any lumps.
  5. Mix it with green chilly, coriander leaves, cumin, salt and garam masala.
  6. Mix well and make balls with it as same number of wheat balls.
  7. Divide the wheat dough in to medium-large balls.
  8. The potato balls should be larger than dough balls.
  9. Roll the dough in to a small circle. Place the potato ball in Centre of it and cover it with the dough balls.
  1. Make such balls with all other dough and potato balls.

  1. Now sprinkle wheat flour on a rolling board, roll the balls slowly and make a big circle.
  1. Put it on top of a top heated tawa and cook both sides until golden in colour.
  2. Add a teaspoon of oil on both sides of the paratha when cooking.
  1. serve hot with raitha or pickle.
