Umm Ali

Umm Ali is a rich dessert that would taste even better with a scoop of ice cream. It is an Egyptian dessert, probably it is the mother of Ali, who invented the lovely recipe and hence the name Um Ali. Here you can  use whipping cream in addition of heavy cream or as a substitute heavy cream.

  2. Mixed fruits and nuts- ½ cup

  5. Vanilla extract-1tsp

  • Bake for 15 minutes until puffed and golden. Set aside to cool.

  • In a baking tray break the puff pastry in to bite sized pieces.

  • Pour the milk-cream mixture on top of it evenly.
  • Again top it with nuts.

Note: You can serve it without baking also. If you are not baking refrigerate it for 4 hours to set.If you are using kara biscuits or croissants as a substitute of puff pastry, no need to bake it first, just make them pieces and spread it on the pudding tray. if you are adding whipping cream , no need to heat it first.
