Puttu is an authentic breakfast in Kerala. Usually it is prepared with rice flour and coconut grated.

- Vermicelli-1cup
- Semolina-1 ½ cups
- Chicken masala-1cup
- Salt-to taste
- Warm water- ¼ cup
- Cook vermicelli with enough water for about 5 minutes or until cooked.
- Once it’s done drain and keeps it aside.
- Roast semolina with 1tsp of ghee and allow cooling.
- Mix semolina with cooked vermicelli by sprinkling salted warm water little by little until the mixture gets moistened.
- Now in the puttu mould add a tablespoon of chicken masala, then 4 tablespoon of semolina-vermicelli mix and again 1 table spoon of chicken masala.
- Make sure that they cover all sides of the puttu mould or give a small press to fit properly.
- Cover the mould with lid and cook for about 7-8 minutes or until steam comes out from the mould.
- Cook the remaining mixture in this way and serve hot.
