Easy Jalebi Recipe

Jalebi is a most popular sweet of the Indian cuisine. We can make it in two ways. One with fermentation of batter and other one is instant Jalebi. Here I’m making the instant crispy Jalebi. It’s super easy to make and need less time.
Ingredients:
For Jalebi
  1. Urad dal-1cup
  2. Rice powder-1tbsp
  3. Salt-a pinch
For the sugar syrup:
  1. Sugar-2cup
  2. Water- ½ cup
  3. Rose water- ½ tbsp
  4. Food colour-a pinch
Preparation:
  • Soak the urad dal in water for 40 minutes.
  • Mean while make the sugar syrup.
  • Boil sugar with water, stir well.
  • Stir well until it reaches the sticky consistency. Not too thick.
  • Add the food colour and switch off flame.
  • Add rose water in to the syrup.
  • Pour the syrup in to a small width container; so that the jalebi should dip completely.
  • Drain urad dal and grind well in to a fine paste without adding water.
  • Mix it well with rice powder and salt.
  • Do not let it for rest after grinding; do start making jalebis.
  • Take Ziblock bag and make a small hole on the end.
  • Heat oil in the pan to a medium flame.
  • When the oil is hot, start making swirls like jalebi shape.
  • Fry both sides until get golden colour.
  • Take it out from the oil and directly add it in to the syrup.
  • Soak well the jalebis on both sides for a minute.
  • Then place it in to a serving pot; enjoy!!!
Note:
  • Make small hole on the Ziplock bag; otherwise the inner side of the jalebis not get cooked  well.
  • The flame should be medium.
  • Use the choice of your food color.
  • You can use lemon juice instead of rose water.
