Pallipalayam is a city located near by Erode in Tamilnadu state. The chicken fry recipe from there is a popular menu and available in most of the restaurants nearby. It only uses turmeric powder as a spice powder and the preparations are very simple; But the taste was really amazing and standby.

- Chicken-1kg
- Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder- 3/4 tsp
- Salt-to taste
- Lemon juice-1 tbsp
- Oil-4 tbsp
- Mustard seeds-1 tsp
- Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
- Pearl onions / small onion chopped- 1 1/2 cup
- Garlic-6 cloves
- Dry Red chilly-7 nos (or more)
- Curry leaves-3 springs
- Coconut pieces- 2 tbsp
- Coriander leaves chopped- 1 handful
- Marinate chicken pieces with turmeric powder, salt, ginger garlic paste and lemon juice for an hour in fridge.
- Heat oil in a kadai; splutter mustard seeds and then add cumin seeds.
- Add coconut pieces and saute until just golden in color.
- Add dry red chilly brokened and curry leaves.
- Add pearl onions and saute for a minute until transparent.
- Add chopped garlic and saute for a minute.
- Add marinated chicken pieces and mix well.
- Add one or two tablespoons of water (if required); mix well and cover cooks for about 20-25 minutes until the chicken pieces get cooked well.
- Switch off the fame by sprinkling coriander leaves on top.
