Chicken Kondattom


Chicken kondattom is  a delicious Kerala chicken preparation in which the chicken is coated with a thick batter and fry it. After that do a  nice seasoning for it.
Ingredients for marinating the Chicken:
  1. chicken- 1/2 kg (prefer boneless pieces)
  2. turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
  3. kashmiri cilly powder- 2 tsp
  4. ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
  5. curd- 2 tbsp
  6. salt-to taste
  7. flour-1 tbsp
  8. corn flour-1 tbsp
  • Marinate the chicken pieces with all other ingredients. let it rest for at least 2 hours in fridge and deep fry it in hot oil until nicely cooked.
  • drain in to paper towels and keep aside.
Ingredients for Seasoning:
  1. minced garlic- 1 tbsp
  2. dry red chilly- 4 nos
  3. curry leaves- 3 springs
  4. coriander leaves chopped- 1 handful
  5. tomato ketchup-1 tbsp
  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil from the chicken fried oil, add minced garlic and saute for a minute.
  • Add splitted dry red chill and  curry leaves.
  • Add tomato ketchup and fried chicken pieces; mix well.
  • switch off the flame and add coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with the choice of your roti or rice.
