Chicken do pyaza is a popular North Indian Chicken curry preparation. As the name implies the curry is spicy at the same time little sweet, creamy and delicious.

- Chicken- 1/2 kg
- Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
- Kashmiri chilly powder- 2 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
- Chicken masala powder-1 tsp
- Lemon juice-1 tbsp
- Thick curd- 1/2 cup
- Salt-to taste
- Oil-2 tbsp
- onion-2 medium
- Tomato puree-of two big tomatoes
- Salt-little
- Sugar- 1/2 tsp
- Butter / ghee-1 tbsp
- Green chilly thinly sliced- 2 nos
- Garam masala powder 1/2 tbsp
- Kasoori methi crushed- 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves-1 handful
- Fresh cream- 1 tbsp
- Marinate chicken pieces with the ingredients under marination for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan, saute onions until brown in color.
- Marinated chicken mix along with tomato puree.
- Add 1/4 cup of boiling water; if more gravy is required.
- Mix well and cover cooks for about 20 minutes.
- Add enough more salt and sugar.
- Now for the tempering; heat butter in another pan; add green chillies.
- Switch off the flame and add garam masala powder; kasoori methi and fresh cream; mix well and add it in to the chicken pan.
- Cook for another 5- 10 minutes until chicken pieces are cooked tenderly and oil floats on the top.
- Sprinkle coriander leaves on top and serve hot.
