Beef Kuruma is a south Indian Dish and mostly seen in Malabar Areas.
It is a little spicy dish and it can be served with Pathiri, Chapathi and Nan
Step 1 Ingredients
• 1 Kilo Gram beef cut into small pieces
• 2 onion, chopped
• 3 green chili, chopped fine
• 3 small piece of ginger
Step 2 Ingredients for the Gravy
• 4 no's onions
• 6 garlic cloves
• 10 Green Chilies
• 1 small piece of Ginger
• Coriander powder (to taste)
• Red Chili (to taste)
• Oil for cooking
• Meat masala (to taste)
• Salt to taste
• ½ coconut scraped
• ½ teaspoon poppy seeds (Cuscus)
• 10 cashew nuts
• Curry leaves and Coriander for garnishing
Preparation
• Scrub the beef with onion , Green chili and ginger and salt. Keep the beef aside for 30 to 35 minutes.
• Pressure cook the beef.
• Heat the oil in a pan, saute the onion. Garlic, green chilies and ginger
• Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilies powder.
• Add the meat masala and salt.
• Saute well and remove the fire
• Keep the mixture aside until to cool and grind well in the mixer.
• Pour into a pan, bring to a boil and add the meat.
• Grind the coconut, cashew nuts and poppy seeds to a fine paste and add to the mix.
• Bring to a boil garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
