Pineapple Pachadi Recipe


Pineapple pachadi is a traditional Kerala dish. It is a tangy, spicy and sweet dish.


Pineapple Pachadi
Ingredients:
  1. Ripe banana chopped-1cup.
  2. Pineapple chopped-1cup.
  3. Turmeric powder- 1/4tsp.
  4. Chilly powder- 1/2tsp.
  5. Salt-to taste.
  6. Water-1cup.
  7. Coconut grated-1cup.
  8. Mustard-1tsp.
  9. Cumin seeds - 1/2tsp.
  10. Jaggery-1tbsp.
  11. Grapes – 5nos.
  12. Red chilly-2nos.
  13. Curry leaves-1string.
  14. Mustard-to splutter.
Preparation:
  • Cook banana and pineapple by adding turmeric powder, chilly powder and salt along with 1cup of water.
  • Cook about 20minutes till all the banana and pineapple pieces cooked well and mashed.
  • Add 1tbsp of grated jaggery in to it
  • Grind the coconut along with 1tsp of mustard and cumin seeds.
  • Add it in to the curry.
  • Boil for a minute and switch off the flame.
  • Season it with spluttered mustard, red chilly and curry leaves
  • Decorate it with grapes.
