Chicken Mulakittath is a Kerala spicy, tasty and easy chicken curry goes well with ghee rice and chapatti. Even though it is spicy we used here Kashmir chili powder which is less spicy and gives dark red color which everyone wants their curry looks like...
· Chicken-1/2 kg (cut in to small pieces)
· Onion-4 nos(medium)
· Tomatto-4nos(same as onion)
· Ginger, garlic, green chili paste-3tbsp
· Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
· Kashmiri chili powder-3tsp
· Garam masala-1/4tsp
· oil-2tbsp
· salt-to taste
· water-1cup
· Curry leaves-2strands
· Coriander leaves-few
Preparation:
· Marinate chicken pieces with little salt,1/4tsp turmeric powder and 1/2tspchilly powder.
· Heat oil in a pan, sauté the onion very well till it become mash .
· add ginger garlic, green chili paste to it.
· when the raw smell goes add turmeric, Kashmiri chilly powder,garam masala .
· add tomatoes in to it.
· sauté it until all the tomatoes become mushy.
· add salt to it.
· add chicken pieces and sauté for 5 minutes.
· add 1cup of boiling water to it.
· Cover the lid and cook for 2o minutes.
