Broken Wheat Upma

Broken wheat upma is one most healthiest choice for your breakfast. Adding little spice and vegetables to it makes it a favorite diet meal. Such recipes will same your time and also promote as a well balanced diet.So start makes something different from the routine taste that carries lot many calories.
Ingredients:
  1. Broken wheat-1cup
  2. Oil-1tbsp
  3. Mustard seeds-1tsp
  4. Red chilly-1
  5. Curry leaves-1string
  6. Onion-1
  7. Ginger chopped-1tsp
  8. Salt-to taste
  9. Mixed vegetables-1cup (carrot, beans, green peas)
  10. Water-1cup
  11. Coriander leaves-few
Preparation:
  • Wash and drain the broken wheat; cook it with 1cup of water and salt in pressure cooker for 1whistle on high flame.
  • Add a tsp of oil in hot pan; splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add red chilly, curry leaves and onion; Saute for a minute.
  • Add chopped ginger, sauté until the raw smell goes off.
  • Add vegetables and salt in to it.
  • Sauté for 5 minutes.
  • Add cooked wheat in to it and mix well until it completely dries off.
  • Sprinkle coriander leaves on top of it.
