Kerala Style Beef Ularthiyathu



 Beef ularthiyathu /beef stir-fry is an awesome beef preparation that I ever taste. It is perfect festive recipe to compromise with the sweet balance.. This recipe has an explosion of Kerala spice flavors. it goes well with any types of roti bread and rice.

Ingredients:
  1. Beef cubed- ½ kg
For marinating:
  1. Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
  2. Pepper powder-1tsp
  3. Ginger garlic paste-1tsp
  4. Garam masala-1tsp
  5. Kashmiri chillypowder-1tsp
  6. Vinegar-1tbsp
  7. Salt-to taste
For masala:
  1. Coconut oil-2tbsp
  2. Onion-2
  3. Tomato-1
  4. Ginger garlic paste-2tsp
  5. Curry leves-3string
  6. Green chilly-1
  7. Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
  8. Kashmiri chilly powder-1tsp
  9. Coriander powder-1 ½ tsp
  10. fennel powder- 1/2tsp
  11. Garam masala- ½ tsp
Preparation:
  • Marinate the beef with ingredients under marinating for an hour.
  • Pressure cooks it with little water until cooked well.
  • Open the lid and cook in high flame to dry out all the remaining water in it.
  • Heat oil in a pan; sauté onion until golden brown in color.
  • Add curry leaves, ginger garlic paste and green chilly.
  • Sauté until the raw smell goes off.
  • Add turmeric powder and sauté for a minute.
  • Add all the other powders and mix well until dark in color ina low flame.
  • Add chopped tomato pieces in to and sauté well.
  • Add cooked beef in to it; mix well.
  • Cook in a low flame for about 30-40 minutes until the beef reaches black in color and tastes well.
  • Add little oil at frequent time intervals of cooking to get the nice dark color for beef.
  • Serve hot with any choice of your bread.
