Chilly Leaves Bajji

 Bajji is  a crispy Indian Tea time snack. We all love to eat it with a cup of tea at the cold weather. Usually we make Bajji's with chilly itself or with potato, banana, onion etc. All theses required the same batter for coating. Here is lovely Bajji recipe with Chilly leaves. You can also try it with palak leaves, drumstick leaves and oregano leaves.
Ingredients:
  1. Chilly leaves-6 no's
  2. Gram flour (besan flour / kadalamavu)- 1/2 cup
  3. Rice flour-1 tbsp
  4. Baking Soda-a pinch
  5. Chilly powder- 1/2 tsp
  6. Tureric powder- 1/2 tsp
  7. Hing (Asafoetida/ kayam powder) -a pinch
  8. Salt-little
  9. Oil-for deep frying
Preparation:
  • Wash the chilly leaves properly and pat i dry with a kitchen towel.
  • In a wide bowl take gram flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, chilly powder, salt, hing and baking soda.
  • Add little water to make  a thick batter and mix well.
  • Dip a leaf in the batter and coat evenly and add directly in to the hot oil.
  • Deep fry it in the medium flame until nice golden.
  • Drain in to paper towels and serve  hot with a lovely dip.
