Kesar Pistachio Kheer


Kheer is an Indian delicious rice and milk pudding. Adding our  favorite flavor's will makes it more yummy and tasty. Pistachio kheer is such an awesome dessert, that just relish in our mouth and can eat at any time..

Ingredients:
  1. Milk-4 cup
  2. Basmati rice- 1/4 cup
  3. Sweetened Condensed milk- 1/2 tin
  4. Pistachio- 1/4 cup + for garnishing
  5. Saffron Strands-6 nos
  6. Cardamom powder- 1/4 tsp
  7. Ghee-1 tbsp
Preparation:
  • Crush saffron strands with your hands and soak in two tablespoons of hot milk.
  • Blend the chopped pistachios in a blender to a powder form.
  • Wash and soak the basmati rice in water for 30 minutes; Drain it.
  • Heat ghee in a large pan, add drained basmati rice and saute for a minute in low flame without changing it's color. 
  • Add milk in to it and boil.
  • Stir well continuously until the rice gets cooked well and in a mashed consistency; also the milk just starts thickening (about25-30 minutes).
  • Add condensed milk, powdered pistachio, saffron soaked milk and cardamom powder.
  • Mix well for a minute and switch off the flame.
  • You can serve it as warm or chilled by topping it with lots of sliced pistachios.
